Olisa Ndah’s return to the Orlando Pirates squad is expected to bring much-needed relief to the fans, especially after a string of injuries to defenders like Thabiso Sesane in recent weeks.

The Nigerian centre-back has not played since September 24, during the Buccaneers’ second league match of the season. A serious tibia and fibula fracture sidelined Ndah for the remainder of 2024. However, after five months of recovery, he is now ready to make his return to the starting lineup, possibly as soon as this week.

Ndah’s Progress

A spokesperson for Orlando Pirates confirmed, “He [Ndah] has done well in the past few weeks and will be ready when selected to play. He is in line to return in the coming matches, possibly this week.”

Broos Speaks on Mofokeng’s Future

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has hinted that Relebohile Mofokeng may be nearing the end of his time at Orlando Pirates. In an interview with iDiski Times, Broos expressed concern about Mofokeng’s potential move, stating, “I hope he makes the right decisions and doesn’t go to a team where he won’t play. I’ve heard about interest from Barcelona and Rangers… I’m a little bit afraid.”

Broos went on to say, “His parents obviously want the best for him, but there’s always the risk of choosing a deal for the wrong reasons. I think by June, Rele will not be at Orlando Pirates anymore, but choosing the right club is crucial.”
