Kaizer Chiefs have addressed reports surrounding midfielder Gaston Sirino, who is allegedly faking injuries and refusing to train before returning to action as matchday approaches. The reports, coming from Siya sources, claim that Sirino’s behaviour has been causing frustration within the Chiefs’ camp, particularly with head coach Nasreddine Nabi and the club’s management, who expect professionalism from all players.

The Uruguayan midfielder joined Kaizer Chiefs at the beginning of the current season, bringing with him hope for a boost in the team’s performance. However, the reports suggest that Sirino’s alleged conduct, including not adhering to training schedules, has raised concerns among the club’s management.

Kaizer Chiefs’ corporate communications manager, Vina Maphosa, chose not to directly comment on the accusations but emphasized that any statements about the club would be in line with official communications. β€œI only confirm what is published through Chiefs media,” Maphosa told GOAL.

Meanwhile, Sirino’s lawyer is reportedly discussing potential actions, including the possibility of contract termination, although no official decision has been made yet. The situation remains tense, and it’s unclear how this will affect Sirino’s future with the club.
