Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly looking to make significant moves in the transfer market, with five players linked to potential departures and five key targets on their radar. Among the most notable plans is a potential swap deal with PSL rivals Chippa United for one of Chiefsβ top transfer targets.
Chiefs Aim to Secure Stanley Nwabili with a R10-Million Player Offer
Chiefs are said to be keen on signing Chippa United’s Nigerian goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabili, and have proposed a swap deal with the club. According to reports, Chiefs have offered Fiacre Ntwari, who is valued at around R10 million (R9.6 million), in exchange for the highly sought-after goalkeeper.
Ntwari was one of the players linked to Chiefs during both the recent January transfer window and the previous one, though the move never came to fruition. This latest offer was reportedly made in January, raising questions about whether Chiefs will renew their interest in Nwabili in future transfer windows.
Amakhosiβs Goalkeeper Pursuit
Nwabili is currently one of three goalkeepers being pursued by Chiefs, signaling the clubβs clear intention to strengthen their squad in that area.
Amakhosi’s Future Plans
Despite the January transfer window closing just weeks ago, Chiefs are already planning for future moves. The club is actively preparing for several player departures and potential signings.
In addition to player transfers, there are talks about bringing back Kaizer Chiefs legend, Itumeleng Khune, in a new role. Reports suggest that Chiefs want Khune involved in a future position, possibly in the marketing and commercial department, while also considering him for a coaching role to mentor young goalkeepers. Chiefs are said to believe that Khune still has much to offer the club, both in terms of his knowledge of the game and his potential impact on developing the next generation of goalkeepers.
