Kaizer Chiefs are gearing up for another big spending spree, continuing the trend set in January.
Since Nasreddine Nabi took over in July of last year, over 15 new players have joined the club, marking a major overhaul after one of Kaizer Chiefs’ most disappointing seasons. In his bid to reshape the team, Nabi made tough decisions, parting ways with established stars like Khama Billiat and Itumeleng Khune to pave the way for fresh talent. Among the new faces are Gaston Sirino, Makabi Lilepo, and Thabo Cele, who have already made a noticeable impact.
Reports suggest that Chiefs are far from finished with their squad-building, and the upcoming winter transfer window could see more signings, with a number of African stars linked to the club.
One player the club has kept an eye on since Nabi’s arrival is Tanzanian international Feisal Salum. Having enjoyed two successful seasons together at Young Africans, where they won the league title twice, Salum is now a free agent after declining a contract extension. This has fueled speculation that a reunion with Nabi could be on the cards.

Another Tanzanian player attracting attention is Prince Dube, a forward at Young Africans. Chiefs are reportedly keen on adding a striker to their ranks, and Dube is seen as the most viable option, with other targets like Michael Olunga and Fiston Mayele proving difficult to secure.
Kaizer Chiefs are also reportedly looking to strengthen their goalkeeper position. Djigui Diarra, a teammate of Dube at Young Africans, is among the options being considered. Chiefs are continuing to assess different goalkeeping profiles and have shown interest in Toaster Nsabata and Xolani Ngcobo as well. However, no deals have been finalized as Chiefs continue to evaluate their options for next season.
