Sundowns Ladies Bounce Back with Dominant Win Over Ethiopia in CAF Champions League

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies bounced back from an opening defeat in the CAF Women’s Champions League by dominating Commercial Bank of Ethiopia 4-0. Melinda Kgadiete starred with two goals, while Boitumelo Rabale and Lelona Daweti also found the net. This victory is crucial in keeping Sundowns’ hopes alive for a third continental title.

The South African side had struggled in their opening match, losing 1-0 to Egyptian side FC Masar. However, they recovered well in this match, displaying clinical finishing and control throughout. Coach Jerry Tshabalala made key decisions, such as reintroducing goalkeeper Andile Dlamini.

With the 4-0 win under their belt, Sundowns are now focused on their final group match against Nigeria’s Edo Queens. The team’s performance showed their resilience and their determination to defend their CAF Women’s Champions League title.
