The Springboks’ clash with Los Pumas will be the third time in three years that the world champions play at this historic venue. Previous victories include a 35-7 win over New Zealand in a Rugby World Cup warm-up game in 2023 and a 41-13 triumph over Wales last season.
This game holds additional importance as it will be the final match of the tournament. Earlier that day, the Wallabies will host the All Blacks in Perth, meaning the match could potentially determine the winner of the competition, depending on how the results unfold.

Springbok head coach Rassie Erasmus expressed excitement about the match: “It’s always thrilling to play in London, and we look forward to facing Argentina in the Rugby Championship for the first time. We’ve loved our previous experiences playing neutral-site Test matches at Allianz Stadium, especially with the passionate crowd and the strong presence of Springbok fans in the UK.”
“We’re confident this will be another thrilling match given the fierce rivalry between the Springboks and Los Pumas in recent years, and we’re ready for the challenge.”
Gabriel Travaglini, President of the Argentina Rugby Union, also shared his enthusiasm: “It’s a great honor for the Argentina Rugby Union to have the opportunity to face the Springboks, the world champions, at the iconic Allianz Stadium, known as the Home of Rugby.”
“We are grateful to World Rugby and SANZAAR for this opportunity, which recognizes the growth and strength of our rugby. It’s a significant moment for us, and a fantastic chance to showcase our game to fans worldwide. This will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience for our players.”
