Mamelodi Sundowns boast some of the best talent in the PSL, but that kind of depth comes with a priceβ€”intense competition for game time. Unfortunately, it also means not every player gets a fair shot to prove themselves at Chloorkop.

One such player is Thabang Sibanyoni.

The striker was promoted to the first team back in 2019 with plenty of promise, but his journey with the Brazilians hasn’t gone according to plan. Now, six years and six loan spells later, it looks like Sundowns are finally ready to part ways with him permanently.

Currently on loan at Magesi FC, Sibanyoni is expected to make a permanent switch at the end of the season. Reports suggest that Magesi are keen to keep him, and Sundowns are open to letting him go.

A move would bring an end to a frustrating chapter for the 29-year-old, who’s surprisingly never featured in an official match for Sundowns during his time there.
