Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly finalizing a surprising deal with Libyan club Al-Ittihad for the transfer of Botswana international, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe. According to FARPost’s Mthokozisi Dube, the 26-year-old central defender and left-back will make the switch before the Libyan transfer window closes on February 17. Ditlhokwe’s move to Al-Ittihad comes at a time when his performances at Chiefs had earned him a starting spot in the team.

Sources indicate that Al-Ittihad is prepared to pay Kaizer Chiefs around USD 850,000 (R15.7 million) for a two-and-a-half-year contract with Ditlhokwe. In the wake of this transfer, Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi will have four options to cover the left-back position: Bradley Cross, Happy Mashiane, Bongani Sam, and Edmilson Dove.

Siyethemba Sithebe Leaves Richards Bay after Clash with Coaches

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe is now on the lookout for a new club after his brief stint at Richards Bay came to an end. The 32-year-old made only eight appearances in seven months before being released following a reported clash with the coaching staff. Sithebe explained that his outburst in the dressing room, stemming from frustrations over the coaching decisions, led to the fallout.

“I spoke out in the dressing room, trying to show coaches that some of their decisions weren’t ideal,” Sithebe told FARPost, reflecting on the situation. The former AmaZulu and Chiefs midfielder now faces an uncertain future as he seeks new opportunities.
