Kaizer Chiefs played on Tuesday, earning a 1-0 win over Magesi FC thanks to a second-half goal from Ashley Du Preez. Despite the win, Amakhosi remain in eighth place, with 28 points from 20 matches this season.
Pirates return to winning ways in the Premiership Pirates’ next focus will be the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals, where they are set to face Stellenbosch FC. Having already defeated Stellies twice this season, Nasreddine Nabi’s side will be confident going into the match.
Meanwhile, Pirates’ hopes of a league title appear slim after their 2-0 loss to Marumo Gallants, which seemed to dampen morale. However, the Buccaneers bounced back with a 1-0 victory over Chippa United, closing the gap to Sundowns to 16 points. This came after Sundowns were held to a 1-1 draw by Golden Arrows.
