Talk about a dream come true — Orlando Pirates have reportedly snapped up a rising star after an impressive showing at their annual youth tournament.
The 2025 Pirates Cup, held at the Marks Park Sports Complex in Johannesburg, was once again a showcase of Mzansi’s young footballing talent. And among the standout performers was 17-year-old winger Rethabile Ramontoeli, who dazzled onlookers throughout the weekend.
His eye-catching displays didn’t go unnoticed, as reports now suggest the teenage sensation has earned himself a move to the Buccaneers. Ramontoeli, who hails from the James Mothibi Sports Development Academy, is said to have signed a two-year contract with Orlando Pirates.
Touted by some as the “next Relebohile Mofokeng,” the young winger could soon be making waves in the club’s development structures — and perhaps even knocking on the door of the senior team in the near future.
