Orlando Pirates are reportedly eyeing former PSL Young Player of the Year Jaedin Rhodes as one of their top targets.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder, currently with Cape Town City, has made 73 appearances for the club and has long been admired by the Buccaneers. According to sources, Pirates attempted to sign Rhodes during the January transfer window and are planning to revisit the move in the offseason.
Jaedin Rhodes Transfer Interest “Rhodes has been on Pirates’ radar for quite some time now,” SoccerLaduma reported. “They were hoping to bring him in during January, but since that didnβt materialize, they now have more time to negotiate and are looking to revisit the deal in the next window.”

An additional source confirmed Piratesβ continued interest, saying, βTheyβll likely look at releasing or loaning out some players to make room for new signings. Since they didnβt secure Rhodes in January, theyβll try again during the offseason, and heβs definitely one of the players on their list.”
Riveiroβs Silence on Salengβs Situation Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro remained tight-lipped when asked about Monnapule Salengβs situation, stating, βI donβt discuss the health of my players; thatβs a private matter. When the club feels itβs the right time to disclose information about injuries or recovery timelines, they will do so. Itβs not part of my role or ethics to comment on that. I know fans are eager to know about players like Olisa Ndah, Goodman Mosele, or Saleng, but thatβs not something I will speak about.β
