While the Buccaneers came close in multiple competitions this season — narrowly missing out on both the Nedbank Cup and the CAF Champions League — and with Mamelodi Sundowns marching toward another league title, Pirates are already shifting focus to rebuilding.
The Soweto giants are said to have wrapped up a long-term deal for Kwayiba, who has impressed with his performances in the Betway Premiership. The 26-year-old midfielder has been a key figure for Chippa United, netting seven goals and providing an assist in the current campaign.
Sources suggest that both clubs reached an agreement recently, and the dynamic midfielder is expected to bolster the Pirates’ engine room next season.
