Orlando Pirates defender Olisa Ndah has expressed his frustration and disappointment after being sidelined with an injury, which caused him to miss the MTN8 final. The Nigerian centre-back had started the season in strong form, becoming one of the standout players for the Buccaneers, but a sudden injury left him unable to contribute in the crucial match.
Ndah had been key to Pirates’ defense in the early part of the season, playing an important role as they aimed for silverware. However, as the MTN8 final approached, an untimely injury prevented him from being part of the squad, leaving him heartbroken.
In a recent interview, Ndah shared how tough it was for him to watch the final from the sidelines after working hard to get into peak form. “It was really hard for me,” Ndah said. “I was in great shape and had been playing well, but then the injury came, and I couldnβt help my team in such an important game.”

Despite his personal disappointment, Ndah was quick to praise his teammates for their effort and determination in his absence. “Even though I couldnβt be on the pitch, I stayed positive and tried to support my teammates from the sidelines,” he said. “They did well, and Iβm proud of how they played.”
The injury has been a challenging moment in Ndahβs season, but he remains focused on his recovery. Heβs been working hard to get back to full fitness, with the aim of returning to the field soon and helping the team achieve their goals for the rest of the season.
βI just want to be back on the pitch, give my all for the team, and keep building on the good start I had to the season,β Ndah added.
Although missing out on the MTN8 final was a setback, Ndah is optimistic about the future and believes Orlando Pirates can still secure success this season once heβs back in action.
