Change is in the air at Naturena, and Tebogo Potsane could be one of the first to make way.
With Kaizer Chiefs enduring a turbulent season under head coach Nasreddine Nabi, reports suggest the club is preparing to part ways with the 31-year-old winger as part of a broader shake-up.
Chiefs have failed to find consistency throughout the campaign, and their recent Soweto Derby loss to Orlando Pirates has only increased the pressure. Finishing outside the top eight is now a real possibility—unless they can secure the Nedbank Cup title, this could mark yet another disappointing chapter for the Glamour Boys.
Sources close to the club indicate that Potsane, who joined from Royal AM last season, is likely to be placed on the transfer list rather than released outright. Despite his flair and experience, the winger hasn’t made a major impact—managing just 19 appearances and two assists in a Chiefs shirt.
“It’s not a direct release,” an insider told KickOff. “He still has a year left on his contract, and the club wants to recoup something rather than let him go for free.”
Potsane’s name is reportedly among several being considered for a clear-out, as Chiefs look to rebuild with a stronger, more competitive squad next season.
