As Kaizer Chiefs prepare for the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season, the club is expected to sign one or two new goalkeepers, potentially signaling a change in their squad’s dynamics.

Is Fiacre Ntwari’s Time at Chiefs Coming to an End?

Fiacre Ntwari, the Rwandan international goalkeeper who joined Chiefs from TS Galaxy nine months ago, is facing a tough decision. Despite a solid start with the team last spring, Ntwari has struggled for playing time and hasn’t featured for Amakhosi since October 2024.

The goalkeeper is now weighing his options: should he leave Chiefs in search of more game time, or stay and continue fighting for his spot in the starting lineup?

“Chiefs is a big club, and Ntwari knew the competition would be tough,” a source shared with Soccer Laduma. “The frustration of not playing regularly is understandable, but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s still working hard and doesn’t suddenly become a bad player.”

The source went on to add that Ntwari is being encouraged to stay and fight for his position, especially with his long-term contract at the club.

Chiefs Eye Djigui Diarra as Potential Signing

In the midst of this uncertainty surrounding Ntwari, Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly in talks with Mali international Djigui Diarra from Young Africans in Tanzania. If the move goes through, it could signal the beginning of a new chapter in Chiefs’ goalkeeping department.
