It’s been another challenging season for Kaizer Chiefs, despite the club bringing in 10 new signings.
After 20 league matches, Amakhosi have managed only eight wins and currently sit in eighth place in the Betway Premiership standings. Under coach Nasreddine Nabi, fresh faces like Rushwin Dortley, Thabo Cele, Makabi Lilepo, Gaston Sirino, and Miguel Inacio have stood out since their arrival at the club.
With pre-season just four months away, the Tunisian coach is expected to offload several players to make room for more signings. According to Soccer Laduma, one of the players set to leave is midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.
Ngcobo has struggled for game time this season, and despite being kept at the club due to injuries and a lack of signings in his position, he hasn’t featured much compared to other midfielders. A source close to the team shared that the technical staff and management have agreed that a loan move would be the best option for Ngcobo next season.
Kaizer Chiefs have already loaned out Christian Saile and Mduduzi Mdantsane, and it seems unlikely that they will return, regardless of their performances at their respective loan clubs.
Another player potentially on the move is striker Ranga Chivaviro. While he impressed Nabi early in the season, he has since faded and dropped down the pecking order.
Midfielder Edson Castillo has also been sidelined for much of the season due to injury. Given that the team already has options like Yusuf Maart, Cele, and Sibongiseni Mthethwa in the midfield, there’s a possibility that Chiefs may look to sell the South American player.
