Kaizer Chiefs are set to continue their squad overhaul under coach Nasreddine Nabi in the upcoming transfer window.
In his first season, Nabi has been backed by the club with 10 new signings, while several players have left to balance the squad.
Chiefs’ New Faces: The club’s signings included Fiacre Ntwari, Miguel Cardoso, Gaston Sirino, Njabulo Blom, Bradley Cross, and Bongani Sam, followed by experienced additions like Tashreeq Morris, Thabo Cele, and Glody Lilepo.
Departures at Chiefs: There have also been significant departures. Before Nabi’s arrival, key players like Itumeleng Khune, Keagan Dolly, Sifiso Hlanti, Siyethemba Sithebe, and Njabulo Ngcobo were let go. Jasond Gonzales was released after a failed loan spell. Nabi also oversaw the loan exits of Donay Jansen and Sabelo Radebe to SuperSport United and Richards Bay FC, respectively. In January, Christian Saile and Mduduzi Mdantsane also moved to the same teams.
More Moves Expected: As Nabi continues shaping his vision for the squad, more departures are anticipated at the end of the season. One player likely to leave is Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, who has struggled with fitness and playing time. According to Soccer-Laduma, the club is considering loaning him out next season.
Ngcobo’s Future at Chiefs: A source told Soccer-Laduma, “He was initially meant to be loaned out at the start of the season, but due to injuries and a lack of signings in his position, he was kept. However, he hasn’t seen much game time compared to other midfielders as he’s not part of the coach’s plans. The technical team and management believe the best solution is to loan him out next season.”
