Kaizer Chiefs are set to overhaul their squad at the end of the current season.
With big changes on the horizon, the club is expected to make several moves during the next transfer window, including potential exits for five players valued at over R50 million. Meanwhile, Chiefs have already made strides by reportedly securing a new signing.
CHIEFS LOOK TO OPEN UP FOREIGN SPOTS
The Amakhosi are preparing for next season and are targeting new foreign players. According to an insider, they are aiming to bring in more international talent, but with the PSL capping the number of foreign-based players at five, some players will need to make way.
Currently, Fiacre Ntwari, Inacio Miguel, Edmilson Dove, Edson Castillo, and Glody Lilepo occupy these foreign spots, meaning that one or two of these players are likely to leave. Itβs expected that Chiefs will part ways with a R10-million foreign player, as well as a R12-million player, with Lilepo being the only one safe due to his recent move to the club.
R10-MILLION FAN-FAVOURITE SET TO LEAVE?
In a surprising twist, midfielder Njabulo Ngcobo, a fan favourite valued at R10 million, could be on his way out. While his talent is undeniable, coach Nasreddine Nabi reportedly prefers a faster style of play, and Ngcobo doesnβt quite fit the bill. As a result, the club is looking to loan him out to a team where his playing style can be better appreciated.
REEVE FROSLERβS FUTURE UNCERTAIN
The future of Reeve Frosler at Kaizer Chiefs is also uncertain, with rival PSL clubs showing interest in securing his signature. The coming months will be crucial in determining the direction of these playersβ careers with the Amakhosi.
