Kaizer Chiefs fans may not be thrilled with the club’s upcoming decision, especially given that one of their fan-favourites is involved.
Several players are set to leave the club in the next transfer window, with R22-million worth of foreign-based Amakhosi stars expected to depart Naturena. Among these potential exits, a R9-million fan-favourite appears likely to be let go at the end of the season.
FAN-FAVOURITE SET TO DEPART
Nkosingiphile Ngcobo is undoubtedly one of the most talented players in the PSL and a firm fan-favourite at Chiefs. However, despite his popularity and skill, he seems to have no place in head coach Nasreddine Nabiβs plans. According to reports, Nabi and the current technical team donβt see Ngcobo as part of their future strategy.
βThereβs no doubt about his talent, but heβs not what the coach is looking for,β an insider revealed. βThe coach believes he is too slow for the style of play he wants. Chiefs are looking to loan him out, allowing him to play where his style and abilities will be more appreciated.β
As a result, itβs expected that Ngcobo will be loaned out in the upcoming transfer window.
POTENTIAL DEPARTURES LOOMING
Alongside Ngcobo, Chiefs are also preparing to part ways with a R12-million player at the end of the season. Edmilson Dove and Christian Saile are both facing likely permanent exits. Dove, who recently returned to action after a long injury layoff, and Saile, who has been loaned out to SuperSport United, are both expected to leave as the club looks to make room for new signings.
Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly aiming to bring in international players in the next transfer window. With this in mind, at least one foreign-based player will need to be released to create space for these new signings.
