Kaizer Chiefs’ latest addition, Makabi Lilepo, made an immediate impact last Friday, scoring the sole goal in their victory over Stellenbosch FC.

Following the match, a delighted Kaizer Moutang Junior appeared unannounced during SuperSport’s post-match analysis, offering a hopeful and optimistic message. “It’s a journey, we know that. We’re progressing, but it’s a process. Give it time and patience,” he said.

Moutang continued, “Building a winning team takes time; it’s not something that happens overnight. We’re getting there, and the league is far from over. Let’s see how the season plays out. It’s still early, but we signed these players because they have the quality we want. They’ll bring experience and help guide the younger players.”

He added, “The jersey is heavy. We do this for the fans. They fill the stadiums and enjoy the game. We play for them.”

Nabi pleased with the win Kaizer Chiefs’ coach Nasreddine Nabi also shared his thoughts post-match, saying, “I’m pleased with the performance and the three points. Beating a team like Stellenbosch twice in just a few weeks is no easy feat. They’re a solid team with excellent coaching. Also, winning in Cape Town isn’t always straightforward, so I’m satisfied with both the performance and the points.”

Khune’s future at Chiefs There are reports that Kaizer Chiefs are considering bringing back Itumeleng Khune, despite the goalkeeper’s current reduced role. A source confirmed that the club values his presence beyond the field, recognizing his contribution to the team off the pitch.

The club is reportedly exploring ways to integrate Khune into a new role, possibly within the marketing and commercial department, alongside Jessica.
