Kaizer Chiefs are just one game away from ending their decade-long trophy drought—and the return of a key figure could be the boost they need. All eyes will be on Moses Mabhida Stadium this Saturday at 15:30, as Amakhosi prepare to face arch-rivals Orlando Pirates in a high-stakes Nedbank Cup final.

Adding to the excitement, experienced centre-back and team leader Inacio Miguel has confirmed his return to full fitness after being sidelined for the last four matches due to injury.

Speaking ahead of the final, the 29-year-old shared his determination to be ready in time for the big day.

“I’ve been pushing myself every day since the injury,” Miguel told Kick Off. “From the start, my goal was to be back not only for the Soweto Derby but most importantly for the final. I’ve been focusing on recovery and doing everything I can to be match-ready.”

While Miguel expressed hope of contributing on the pitch, he acknowledged that the final decision rests with the coach. “I want to help the team, but the coach will decide what’s best,” he added.

Chiefs will, however, be without defenders Rushwin Dortley and Given Msimango, both ruled out due to injury, making Miguel’s return even more significant as the club looks to end a ten-year wait for silverware.
