Kaizer Chiefs will be missing five key players for their upcoming Betway Premiership clash against Orlando Pirates.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi confirmed that defensive trio Rushwin Dortley, Given Msimango, and Reeve Frosler will all be unavailable for the Soweto Derby. In addition, striker Ranga Chivaviro will also miss out, with doubts lingering over Edmilson Dove’s fitness.

Defensive Woes Ahead of Pirates Encounter

With injuries to key defenders like Msimango, Dortley, and Inacio Miguel, Nabi will be forced to rely on a patched-up defense, pairing Zitha Kwinika with Bradley Cross. Full-backs Dillan Solomons and Happy Mashiane will be tasked with covering their respective sides, though both have faced challenges in recent games. Meanwhile, Dove’s absence adds another layer of uncertainty to Chiefs’ defensive setup.

Soweto Derby Double-Header on the Horizon

The two rivals will face off in the Betway Premiership on Saturday, 03 May at 15:00, followed by a high-stakes Nedbank Cup final the following Saturday, 10 May, also kicking off at 15:00. It’s set to be a crucial week for both teams!
