Kaizer Chiefs are once again pursuing AmaZulu midfielder Rowan Human.
This is not the first time the Soweto giants have shown interest in the 24-year-old playmaker, having failed to secure his signature from Maritzburg United in 2023.
Reports suggest that AmaKhosi have been keeping a close eye on the uSuthu star, and if he continues his impressive form, Chiefs are expected to make a move for him during the offseason. This could put George Matlou’s spot at risk, even though he’s nearing a one-year contract extension with the club.
Human Update
According to SoccerLaduma, “Kaizer Chiefs are already planning for next season. In addition to searching for a striker, they are also focusing on strengthening the midfield and are reconsidering Rowan Human from AmaZulu.”
The report continued, saying that scouts are looking for players who fit the team’s system and have identified Human as a key target for next season.
A separate source confirmed Kaizer Chiefs’ renewed interest in the player, stating, “It’s true they had inquired about him just before he left Maritzburg United for AmaZulu, but things didn’t work out at the time. Now, they’re back on the radar for his services. It will depend on what happens at the end of the season, but for now, the technical team and scouts are reportedly impressed with what they’ve seen in Human and want him.”
