Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has named his starting lineup for Wednesdayβs match against Cape Town City, which kicks off at 19:30 at FNB Stadium.
Amakhosi come into this match following a controversial 3-1 win over Stellenbosch FC in the Nedbank Cup. However, their most recent league match ended in a heavy 4-1 defeat to SuperSport United.

Chiefs will be looking to bounce back and secure a much-needed win to improve their position in the league standings. But this task wonβt be easy, as they have struggled against Cape Town City in recent seasons. Out of the last five encounters, City won four, with one match ending in a draw. The first-round fixture ended 1-0 in Cityβs favour, with Darwin Gonzalez scoring the only goal of the game.
Chiefs will be determined to avoid a second defeat to City in the same season. Currently, Chiefs sit eighth on the league table with 28 points from 20 games, effectively ending their title hopes. Now, they are focused on finishing as high as possible, with the aim of securing a spot in next seasonβs CAF competitions.
