Former Kaizer Chiefs winger, Junior Khanye, expressed his frustration after watching Amakhosi suffer a 4-1 defeat to SuperSport United at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday night.

Khanye pointed out that Chiefs were thoroughly exposed in all areas of the game. β€œThey were exposed today, we can’t deny it. They thought they were on the right path, even the coach, but they were exposed in every aspect,” Khanye said.

Looking ahead to their upcoming match against Mamelodi Sundowns, Khanye predicted that Chiefs would approach the game with a heavily defensive strategy. β€œAgainst Sundowns, Chiefs will likely field at least seven defensive players. For me, Nabi will play for a draw,” he added.

Khanye also took aim at Chiefs forward Pule Mmodi, who had a lackluster performance and was substituted early by coach Nasreddine Nabi. Nabi explained the decision by stating, β€œIt wasn’t necessarily a tactical change. I could see that Mmodi wasn’t in the game, he had given a lot in the previous match, and today, in the early minutes, I could see he was tired. If I could have substituted six or seven players, I would have,” Nabi concluded.

Chiefs will now prepare for their next tough league fixture against Mamelodi Sundowns.
