Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has addressed swirling rumors about his possible departure from the club, calling the speculation misleading and disruptive.

The 59-year-old Tunisian, who recently ended Chiefs’ 10-year trophy drought by guiding them to a 2-1 Nedbank Cup victory over Orlando Pirates, revealed he has been contacted by several clubs across Africa about his availability β€” but insists he remains fully committed to Amakhosi.

Following the cup triumph, reports surfaced claiming Nabi would leave the club regardless of their league finish. However, Nabi firmly rejected these stories, stating, β€œThis news is coming from journalists, not from any official source.”

He expressed frustration over the constant speculation, saying it’s unfair and confusing for the team. β€œIt’s not respectful. Why is there always talk about whether I will stay or leave? It’s just not true.”

Nabi thanked his players for their dedication despite the distractions, emphasizing that their focus was on the game, not the rumors.

β€œI respect the media, but I ask journalists to be professional. These false reports create unnecessary confusion and harm the team’s morale,” he added.

He also noted that calls from across Africa have come under the false impression he is free from Chiefs, which is not the case.

β€œPlease understand, I’m committed to Kaizer Chiefs and these rumors are damaging,” Nabi concluded, urging everyone to respect the facts and professionalism.
