Kaizer Chiefs have made a decision regarding the future of an exiled midfielder, Mduduzi Mdantsane, as transfer talks intensify at Naturena.
Mdantsaneβs Struggles at Chiefs
Mdantsane, once highly valued in the market, is now facing an uncertain future at Kaizer Chiefs. Back in February 2023, his value was estimated at R22.8 million (1.2m Euros), but it has now dropped to R11.4 million (600k Euros) due to a series of injuries, including a car accident that sidelined him. Despite being fit at times, his performances haven’t lived up to expectations. After only managing 16 appearances with two assists and no goals, he was loaned out to Richards Bay for the 2024-2025 season.
Possible Move to Sekhukhune United
Sources suggest Sekhukhune United may have the upper hand in securing Mdantsane’s signature. With only one year left on his contract, Chiefs are reportedly considering either another loan move or releasing him permanently. Sekhukhune could either wait for Chiefs to make their decision or initiate talks ahead of the season’s end.
Ime Okonβs Availability
In other transfer news, Chiefs are eyeing SuperSport United defender Ime Okon, who will be available for next season after confirming he wonβt be staying with Matsatsantsa. The talented 21-year-old has already made 53 appearances since joining in 2022 and recently turned down a permanent move to Ukrainian club Dynamo Kyiv after a trial. Chiefs could be ready to make a move for the promising defender.
