Ackermann, alongside assistant coach Lumumba Currie, has been working with the forwards to ensure they’re up to the challenge.
The Junior Springboks will kick off their tournament next Thursday, facing Argentina at 16:10, right after the opening match between New Zealand and Australia at 14:00. Ackermann emphasized the significance of the competition and expressed his enthusiasm for being in the Eastern Cape, a region known for its strong rugby culture. He praised the team’s eagerness to learn and their excitement for the challenge ahead.
