Kaizer Chiefsβ Marketing and Commercial Director, Jessica Motaung, has shared her appreciation for the clubβs loyal supporters ahead of the upcoming Home of Legends Cup in the Eastern Cape. With the international break upon us, Chiefs will participate in the event, which is organized by the Mandela Bay Development Agency. The tournament will feature top teams such as Mamelodi Sundowns, Golden Arrows, and hosts Chippa United in a one-day competition in Gqeberha on November 16.
“We’re thrilled to be part of this initiative,” Motaung stated as the tournament draws near. “The support we’ve received this season has been truly overwhelming, and we encourage our fans to keep showing their passion and loyalty. Their presence plays a huge role in motivating the team and boosting our performances.”
This comes at a time when Chiefsβ supporters have been involved in disruptive incidents during matches, following an inconsistent run of form. Despite the large crowds and sold-out stadiums, the club is facing fines and potential further penalties due to crowd trouble. During the game against Mamelodi Sundowns, three fans were arrested for pitch invasions, and there are also charges pending regarding projectiles thrown at officials during their heavy 4-0 loss to Sundowns at FNB Stadium. Tickets for the Home of Legends Cup are now available at Pick βn Pay stores across the country.
