Miguel Timm’s time at Orlando Pirates appears to be coming to an end after a season where he featured sparingly, making just two appearances. The midfielder’s exit from the club seems inevitable.
According to SABC Sport reporter Mazola Molefe, Timm’s contract will expire on June 30, and the club has no plans to renew it.
“Miguel Timm is expected to become a free agent at the end of the season, with Orlando Pirates choosing not to activate the contract extension option,” Molefe revealed.
The report also noted that Pirates faced a similar situation with Timm last season but eventually decided to keep him for another year after signing a new deal.
Timm, originally from Durban, was once a regular starter but has seen his opportunities diminish following the rise of young talent Thalente Mbatha, who joined from SuperSport United. Additionally, the return of Goodman Mosele from his loan spell at Chippa United has further limited Timm’s chances.
With competition increasing in midfield, it’s clear that Pirates are moving forward without Timm in their plans.
