As Kaizer Chiefs prepare to bring in some fresh talent on the wings for the upcoming season, one name that may not be part of their plans is Keletso Makgalwa.
According to local reports, the 28-year-old winger is attracting attention from a North African club. While talks are still in the early stages and details remain under wraps, sources confirm that serious interest is coming from that region.
“All I can share for now is that it’s a North African side that’s made contact,” a source told Soccer Laduma. “Negotiations are ongoing, and it’s too soon to go public with the finer points.”
Interestingly, Makgalwa’s rise has coincided with a growing interest in South African talent from clubs in North Africa. The recent move of Elias Mokwana has only added fuel to that fire, making players like Makgalwa prime targets.
As for local interest, several PSL clubs had their eyes on him – including Kaizer Chiefs. However, nothing materialized from those talks. “Chiefs were genuinely interested, but right now it looks like the North African outfit is moving faster and more decisively,” the insider added.
For now, all signs point north for Makgalwa as Naturena explores other wing options.
