Nasreddine Nabi and Kaizer Chiefs’ top transfer target, Feisal Salum, have a shared history, having spent two years together at Young Africans before going their separate ways in July 2023. Nabi went on to manage Morocco’s AS FAR Rabat for a year before making the move to Kaizer Chiefs, while Salum joined rival Tanzanian club Azam FC, who currently sit third in the Tanzanian Premier League.
Kaizer Chiefsβ pursuit of Salum has been influenced by Nabi’s arrival, with their reunion now looking more likely than ever after months of attempts.

Salum, set to become a free agent, has informed Azam FC that he will not be extending his contract, allowing him to explore new opportunities at the end of the season. This opens the door for Kaizer Chiefs, with reports suggesting a move is a serious possibility.
Meanwhile, Nabi is also being linked with a potential exit of his own. He is reportedly under consideration for the managerial role with the Tunisian national team, despite having only been at Chiefs for a short time. Reports from Tunisia indicate that Nabi is among the candidates for the job, with the Tunisian Football Federation offering a salary of $9,000 (R166,000) per month for the position. He joins other contenders, including Sami Trabelsi, Maher Kanzari, and Mehdi Nafti.
