Erik ten Hag, the former Manchester United manager, is being considered as a potential candidate to take over at RB Leipzig following his recent dismissal. The Dutch coach was sacked by United on October 28 after a poor start to the season left the team in 14th place in the Premier League. In his place, Ruben Amorim was appointed, and he has since maintained an unbeaten record.
Ten Hag, who won the FA Cup and League Cup during his time at Old Trafford, faced criticism for underwhelming performances despite his team’s strong individual talents.

Now, according to Sky Germany’s Patrick Berger, Ten Hag is one of the frontrunners to replace Marco Rose at RB Leipzig. Rose’s tenure has come under increasing scrutiny as the club has struggled with form, losing five of their last six matches, including a heavy 5-1 defeat to Wolfsburg this past weekend. Leipzig’s last victory came on October 29 against St Pauli in the DFB Pokal, but they remain fourth in the Bundesliga with 21 points after 12 matches.
Despite this position in the table, pressure is mounting on Rose, especially after the club also dismissed sporting director Rouven Schröder. If results do not improve, Rose could face the sack, with Ten Hag and former Benfica coach Roger Schmidt reportedly among the leading candidates to take over.
