Orlando Pirates look set to wrap up the 2024/25 Premier Soccer League season on a high note, having secured the MTN8 trophy and finishing second in the league. Interim coach Mandla Ncikazi believes this success should translate into several individual awards for key players.

Speaking confidently about the upcoming PSL awards, Ncikazi highlighted that Pirates fans can realistically expect at least three major accolades, with players like Nkosinathi Sibisi, Deon Hotto, and Tshegofatso Mabasa in strong contention.

β€œWe could have a Goalkeeper of the Season, a Defender of the Season β€” Sibisi has a great chance. Deon Hotto is in the running too. And Tshego is chasing the top scorer spot,” Ncikazi shared with iDiskiTimes.

The coach stressed that while nothing is guaranteed until the final whistle of the season, every match still holds huge importance, especially when representing a club with the stature of Orlando Pirates.

β€œThese players are professionals β€” they are paid to perform and train. Every game counts, especially in a team like Pirates,” Ncikazi concluded.

With silverware in hand and awards within reach, Pirates are gearing up to finish the season strong and celebrate both team and individual success.
