Sundowns Set to Announce Mothiba’s Signing Soon!
Recent transfer rumors suggest that Mamelodi Sundowns are on the verge of announcing the signing of Bafana Bafana striker Lebo Mothiba.
The 29-year-old, who made his mark in France, is set to strengthen Sundowns’ already formidable attacking line-up, joining Iqraam Rayners, Peter Shalulile, and Lucas Ribeiro Costa, all of whom have been in great form this season. Mothiba’s presence will bring added strength, hold-up play, and aerial ability to the attack.
It is believed that Mothiba has signed a short-term deal, which will run until the end of the current season.
Wydad Athletic Club Eyeing Orlando Pirates Star
Meanwhile, an Orlando Pirates star has attracted significant interest from Rulani Mokwena’s Wydad Athletic Club, with the former Sundowns coach eager to add new talent to his squad.
According to reports from France, Wydad are in talks with Orlando Pirates over the potential signing of 20-year-old Relebohile Mofokeng. Mokwena, now in charge at Wydad, is pushing to bring Mofokeng to Morocco ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup later this year.
Mofokeng has been a breakout star for Orlando Pirates, scoring 14 goals and providing 18 assists in 70 professional appearances. If he moves to Wydad, he would join former Pirates and Sundowns player Thembinkosi Lorch, as well as Cassius Mailula in Casablanca.
