Manchester United have launched an investigation into a dressing room leak that occurred just hours after their dramatic win over Manchester City. Amad Diallo played a key role in helping Ruben Amorim’s side secure a thrilling victory at the Etihad Stadium, but the triumph was overshadowed by concerns about the early release of the starting XI.

The team’s lineup for the derby was leaked the evening before the match, surprising many, as it turned out to be the exact XI that Amorim had chosen. Among the biggest shocks were the omissions of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, both fully fit but left out of the matchday squad altogether.

Amorim addressed the leak after the win, expressing frustration at the difficulty of stopping such incidents. The 39-year-old manager suggested it was nearly impossible to prevent leaks in modern football, due to the number of people involved at the club and the frequent communication between players, agents, and friends. He added, somewhat humorously, that it would be interesting to see if the next starting XI also gets leaked.

Following the leak, reports indicate that Manchester United has begun an internal investigation. Amorim has already spoken to both Garnacho and Amad Diallo, and sources suggest that the coach is confident neither player is responsible for the leak.
