Benjamin Nygren recently demonstrated his athletic versatility during FC Nordsjaelland’s visit to a boxing gym in Bukom, Accra, Ghana. As part of the club’s cultural exchange program, Nygren and his teammates spent time immersing themselves in Ghanaian culture, and the Swedish winger embraced the opportunity to explore boxing.

During the visit, Nygren, who plays for Nordsjaelland, showcased his boxing skills while going through drills with local trainers. The trip, which aims to strengthen Ghana-Denmark relations and inspire local football talents, took the players to some of Accra’s most iconic boxing gyms. One of the highlights was a visit to the renowned Attoh Quarshie Gym, a facility that has produced legends like Joseph “King Kong” Agbeko. The players also toured the Bronx Boxing Club Gym, known for nurturing world-class talents such as Richard Commey, Emmanuel Tagoe, and Duke Micah.
Nygren seemed to enjoy the challenge of boxing, stepping into the ring with energy and enthusiasm. The 23-year-old displayed impressive footwork and landed sharp jabs, embracing the physically demanding session. His competitive nature was evident, and the experience provided a glimpse into his dynamic athleticism, which extends beyond football.
