Orlando Pirates have decided not to renew Miguel Timmβs contract when it expires in June, signaling the end of his three-year stint at the club.
The 33-year-old midfielder, who has struggled to get regular game time this season, wonβt be part of Piratesβ plans for the upcoming campaign. Although Timm appeared twice in the CAF Champions League this season, he has yet to make a league appearance.
To fill the gap left by Timm, Pirates have already secured the signing of Masindi Nemtajela from Marumo Gallants. Nemtajela is expected to compete for the central midfield role, but he will face strong competition from Makhehlene Makhaula, who has been a dependable presence in Piratesβ midfield and has agreed to continue with the club.
Since arriving from Marumo Gallants, Timm has played 66 matches for the Buccaneers, but now the club looks to refresh their midfield as they prepare for the next season.
