Orlando Pirates are on the hunt for a stronger presence at right-back after some current options failed to fully impress the coaching staff.
Mashiloane Set to Join Pirates?
Reports indicate that 23-year-old Tshepho Mashiloane is close to making the move from Baroka to Pirates. Currently, the right-back spot is held by former Stellenbosch player Deano van Rooyen, with Bandile Shandu providing backup. Meanwhile, Thabiso Monyane and Thabiso Lebitso have seen very little game time this season.
An insider revealed to Soccer Laduma that the deal is nearly complete. “It’s reportedly a three-year contract starting July 2025 and running through to June 2028.”
The source added, “All parties involved appear to have reached an agreement, and Orlando Pirates are keen to strengthen the right-back position for the upcoming season. Tshepho Mashiloane is the main target, and the signing is practically done.”
