Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has given supporters something to look forward to, especially when it comes to one of the club’s more exciting January signings — Glody Lilepo.
The 27-year-old winger joined Amakhosi from a French club earlier this year, and despite only being with the team for a few months, he’s already netted six goals. But according to Nabi, fans haven’t seen anything yet.
“Lilepo still hasn’t hit his full stride,” Nabi explained. “Before joining us, he had been out of action for a while due to some issues at his previous club, and that’s affected his overall sharpness.”
Nabi believes that once Lilepo gets a proper preseason under his belt and fully integrates with the squad, his impact could be much greater. “Right now, he doesn’t always finish games because he’s not yet at 100%. But when he reaches peak fitness and understands his teammates better, he’ll be a real problem for defenders.”
The coach also praised Lilepo’s natural attacking instincts. “He’s not your typical winger. He’s always looking for chances — to score himself or to set up a teammate. He’s the kind of player who can easily end a season with 10 or more goals.”
In short, Nabi believes this is just the beginning for Lilepo — and if everything clicks next season, Chiefs fans could be in for a show.
