As Orlando Pirates gear up for life after José Riveiro, the club has been quietly working behind the scenes to strengthen its squad for the upcoming season.
In a major development revealed on Wednesday, highly talented Marumo Gallants midfielder Masindi Nemtajela is reportedly set to join the Buccaneers on a significant deal.
According to the trusted social media source Unplayable, the 23-year-old is expected to sign a five-year contract with Pirates, including a one-year option.
Pirates Land a Promising Talent
Nemtajela has been in exceptional form for Gallants this season, earning praise from coach Abdeslam Ouaddou just weeks ago.
“Masindi is a top player,” Ouaddou commented. “He didn’t play much at the start, but we had to build his confidence and play him in the right positions. I’ve seen significant improvement in his game.”
The coach also highlighted Nemtajela’s potential for growth, stating, “He has a lot of room to develop, and honestly, I’m very impressed with him. If he keeps progressing, this guy could easily play in Europe.”
Having previously coached in Europe, Ouaddou made it clear that Nemtajela’s talent is undeniable: “He’s a top, top player—he just needs to keep working hard.”
