Orlando Pirates have been reaping the rewards of trusting their young talent in recent seasons, and now there’s another rising star knocking on the first team’s door — 17-year-old Cemran Dansin.
The teenage midfielder, who captains the club’s DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) side, was recently named on the bench for Pirates’ 3-0 win over Golden Arrows, getting his first real taste of top-flight matchday action. Dansin has been training with the senior squad, showing promising signs alongside 20-year-old Simphiwe Selepe. Selepe, a versatile player already turning heads, was handed a starting role in that game, wearing the number 47 jersey.
Chiefs and Pirates Eye Burkinabe Goal Machine
Meanwhile, both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are reportedly tracking Burkinabe forward Djibril Ouattara ahead of the upcoming transfer window. The 25-year-old has been in red-hot form for Rwandan side APR FC, scoring 12 goals in just 10 matches this season.
Ouattara also brings international experience to the table, with 14 appearances and 2 goals for the Burkina Faso national team. He previously spent time with Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem, and a move to the PSL could now be on the horizon as both Soweto giants look to bolster their attacking options.
