Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are reportedly set to battle it out for the signature of a prolific African striker, as both clubs have struggled with their attacking options this season. This makes sense, given their urgent need for a genuine goal-scorer.

The latest buzz suggests that Djibril Ouattara, a Burkina Faso international, could soon join one of the Soweto giants.

Ouattara, who is currently playing for APR FC in Rwanda, has been in exceptional form, netting 12 goals and providing 3 assists in just 10 matches. His impressive record of 15 goal contributions has put him on the radar of top South African clubs.

The former JS Kabylie and Vitesse FC forward is now reportedly eager for a move to the PSL. An insider confirmed, β€œOuattara is a quality striker with a proven track record, and he has been offered to clubs in South Africa. His form in Rwandaβ€”12 goals and three assists in 10 gamesβ€”has drawn attention, especially from clubs like Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, who are in desperate need of a reliable goal-scorer.”

It seems both teams could be looking to add the 25-year-old to their squad in the near future.
