Sipho Mbule, a rumoured target for Kaizer Chiefs, has found himself in hot water after being expelled from Sekhukhune United, his current loan club in the Betway Premiership.
Reports indicate that Mbule arrived at training last week under the influence of alcohol, leading to his dismissal from the team. The 27-year-old midfielder, who joined Sekhukhune United on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns at the start of the season, has had a turbulent relationship with the club in recent months.
Mbule has featured in 18 games for Sekhukhune, scoring two goals and assisting in three others. However, his disciplinary issues appear to have caught up with him. An insider revealed details to SundayWorld, stating, βThe players were free for the day but spent their time unwisely. When they arrived for training, they were caught in an unacceptable state. They were dismissed and are now awaiting a disciplinary hearing. Sekhukhune has had enough, and Mbule will likely be sent back to Sundowns.β
With Mbuleβs contract expiring next month, speculation about a move to Kaizer Chiefs continues to grow, especially with Sundowns reportedly willing to part ways with him.
