As frustrations mount among supporters following yet another disappointing result — this time in the Soweto Derby — Shabalala has become one of the main targets. Many fans are no longer willing to see him as a “developing youngster,” demanding immediate impact from the attacking midfielder.
But head coach Nasreddine Nabi has stepped in to defend the player, urging supporters to be patient and constructive.
“Everyone was disappointed after the Derby defeat,” Nabi told FARPost. “But instead of pointing fingers, we need to stay positive. The team started well and had chances. It’s important to build our players’ confidence, especially the younger ones.”
