Kaizer Chiefs are preparing for a major squad reshuffle at the end of the current season, with several players expected to be shown the exit door at Naturena.

A disappointing campaign has forced the club’s management to consider trimming the squad, and a number of underperforming or out-of-favour players are believed to be at risk.

Players Likely to Depart Kaizer Chiefs:

  • Fiacre Ntwari
The Rwandan goalkeeper hasn’t lived up to expectations since joining Chiefs this season and is now likely to be offloaded. With the club eyeing Nigerian shot-stopper Stanley Nwabili, Ntwari’s time at Naturena appears to be nearing its end.
  • Aden McCarthy
Young defender McCarthy is likely to go out on loan to gain more first-team experience. Chiefs want him to develop with regular playing time, which he hasn’t had this season.
  • George Matlou & Mduduzi Mdantsane
Both midfielders are out of favour under coach Nasreddine Nabi. Mdantsane, currently on loan at Richards Bay, is expected to be released permanently, while Matlou could leave in search of better opportunities elsewhere.
  • Tebogo Potsane
The R6 million winger has reportedly been placed on the transfer list. After struggling to make an impact, his future at Amakhosi seems all but sealed.
  • Ranga Chivaviro
Chivaviro has not featured in Nabi’s long-term plans and is now among the players expected to be released as the club looks to rebuild.

As Kaizer Chiefs prepare to hit the reset button, fans can expect a wave of new signings in the coming months as the club aims to return to winning ways.
