Meanwhile, Moroccan champions Wydad AC are also monitoring the situation closely, seeing Riveiro as a top candidate to take over from Rulani Mokwena, who is expected to leave the club.

On the local front, Orlando Pirates are believed to be eyeing a sensational reunion with Pitso Mosimane, the iconic former Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns coach.
