Tapelo Xoki’s contract with Orlando Pirates is set to expire in June 2025, but reports suggest the club is close to finalizing a two-year extension, with the option for a third year.

Since joining the Buccaneers from AmaZulu in July 2022, where he had served as captain, Xoki has been a key figure in the defense. His leadership and experience have been crucial in solidifying the backline. Under his guidance, Pirates have won three MTN8 titles and two Nedbank Cups.
Sources close to the situation have confirmed to Soccer Laduma that the new contract is nearly finalized, with the deal expected to be signed before the start of the 2025/26 season in August. An insider revealed, “The talks have been ongoing for some time, but it’s almost certain now. The deal will run until June 2027, with both parties having agreed on the terms.”
