As reported by iDiski Times last week, the 27-year-old winger-striker has signed a new two-year deal, keeping him at Amakhosi until 2027. Du Preez, who joined Chiefs from Stellenbosch FC in 2022, has been a key player for the team and his recent return to fitness is expected to give the club a boost.

Du Preez shared his thoughts on the new contract: β€œI’ve heard about the renewal, and for me, it’s about working hard and giving back to the club that trusts me. I want to improve and work towards earning an even better contract.”

Inacio Miguel Equals Nedbank Cup Record

Inacio Miguel, a Kaizer Chiefs star, has quickly made an impact at the club. Despite being with Amakhosi for only seven months, the 29-year-old Angolan international has already made history. According to iDiski Times, Miguel became the first Chiefs player since Marks Maponyane 36 years ago to score in three consecutive Nedbank Cup opening matches. Miguel found the net against Free Agents FC, Chippa United, and most recently against Stellenbosch FC.
