Matlou’s Future at Chiefs in Doubt
Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Matlou is reportedly set to leave the club at the end of the season on a free transfer. Having joined Chiefs from Swallows in July 2022 for around R4 million, the 26-year-old’s future remains uncertain as he has yet to agree on a new contract. With Chiefs potentially losing the talented player for nothing, the club faces a crucial decision on his future.

Injury Update Before the Cape Town City Clash
Ahead of Wednesday’s match against Cape Town City, Kaizer Chiefs are dealing with a number of injury concerns. Rushwin Dortley remains a major doubt for the fixture, while Wandile Duba is edging closer to a return after a long injury layoff. Coach Nabi provided updates on other players, including Edson Castillo, who has returned but isn’t yet fully fit. Happy Mashiane remains unavailable, and Lilepo is experiencing discomfort. OX Mthethwa might feature for a limited time, but not for the full match.

Morris and Zwane Out for City Match
Samkelo Zwane and Tashreeq Morris will miss the upcoming game against City. While Duba returned to training last week, Zwane is fully ruled out for this match. Morris is expected to be sidelined for a few more weeks. The match against Cape Town City will take place on Wednesday, 12 March, at 19:30 at FNB Stadium.
